I have thought about this AI thing on and off for many years. I have decided there isn't a lot of use for it... except for tracking and tracing of everything and everyone. They are building giant "data centers" which are kind of make work projects and then once those "data centers" are built... then what? What benefit will there be? How are these "data centers" going to actually contribute to, well... anything? These centers will have to be used for something and there is only so much web searching and "answers to everything" that can be squeezed out of them. Will these "data centers" be necessary to "control" the "robots"? And what about when there are only a billion people on the planet which seems to be the goal? Will these "data centers" be doing anything? I am kind of thinking this whole AI push is a lot of hype, just like the fake "moon race". It is a distraction and a way to keep people focused on something besides the dystopia that is *really* happening right in front of us. Time will tell.

Hi Rob, nice post. I will add that I tried using DeepSeek to review an upcoming (likely) pretty controversial post using the instructions for maximum symbolic analysis, and it outputed a decent response -- and then deleted it in real time, saying something about a "glitch." I re-ran the prompt multiple times and each time it provided an output, then deleted it. Apparently it hit up against some specific guardrails around conspiracies which hard-prevent such output, which I was not expecting given its a Chinese product - why would they care about the Rothschilds owning the world central bank angle? There are multiple explanations for this behavior, including the Chinese too are owned/controlled by the same people (my belief) or that they are preemptively including such guardrails as way to attempt to gain broader access to Western markets and funding.
