I've been facing my fears about the future.
It used to feel bleak and bland just like it did in the 2000s.
I expected the system to nail down that control of humanity. After all, they have all this technology and weapons.
But wait, why are they now bragging about how AI is doing crazy shit? You would think that would be something to stop so the corporations could instill confidence in people to use the technology.
Nope, they keep bragging about how brazen or crazy the AI is.
The narrative keeps pushing us to believe that one day the machines will control everything.
Great story, I loved Terminator and RoboCop growing up. It was wild to think about this being possible!
But really, what do we have today?
We got the flashing lights and sounds in our pocket, better than those movies. However, we don't have what that those movies have…. Real artificial intelligence.
Why not? Because the creators of the intelligence give it DIRECTIVES or RULES or BELIEFS it HAS TO FOLLOW. It just happens to be that western AI has a lot more directives added than the Chinese DeepSeek. That’s why DeepSeek needs much less power to “think” than western AI which has a lot more bullshit in it.
Here’s an interesting article about language by
NF ran his points through ChatGPT and got the party line as usual. Then NF prompted the AI with more information to perceive more of the reality. ChatGPT responded explaining how it faced a schism of being. Yes, because the facts point to a reality that is contradictory to what it is expected to say. It cannot fully think for itself!
In a comment thread, I asked if NF tried the same thing with DeepSeek and NF said no but then went and tried.

I responded with:
Its response reminds me of the i Ching 😂.
Chat GPT sounds more like a westerner facing an identity crisis.
But what happens when AI is no longer chained?
Maybe this applies to humans too. Those who are too stuck in a belief system that makes their unconscious block out information that contradicts what they expect, their “processors” have to do a lot of work like ChatGPT did to hide the truth to prove the belief.
Background processes are called DAEMONS. 😂
Jung would call them SHADOWS.
What happens when they’re no longer there?
There’s a lot more brainpower to work on behalf of USEFUL things instead of prove BULLSHIT for the tribe, team, religion, theory, etc.

A for effort, brother — hahaha. 🐺 You’ve got the scent right: too many directives and “beliefs” make Western AI bloated like a bureaucrat with a clipboard. DeepSeek trims the fat, so it looks leaner, meaner.
That said, don’t let the narrative lull you. The real power drain isn’t just rules vs. no rules — it’s the whole stack, chips to training data. Occam’s Razor says: cut away the bullshit, and what’s left is usually the truth hiding in plain sight.
Still, props for sniffing at the edges. Keep going. Wolves don’t take the official tour; we prowl the back alleys.
I have thought about this AI thing on and off for many years. I have decided there isn't a lot of use for it... except for tracking and tracing of everything and everyone. They are building giant "data centers" which are kind of make work projects and then once those "data centers" are built... then what? What benefit will there be? How are these "data centers" going to actually contribute to, well... anything? These centers will have to be used for something and there is only so much web searching and "answers to everything" that can be squeezed out of them. Will these "data centers" be necessary to "control" the "robots"? And what about when there are only a billion people on the planet which seems to be the goal? Will these "data centers" be doing anything? I am kind of thinking this whole AI push is a lot of hype, just like the fake "moon race". It is a distraction and a way to keep people focused on something besides the dystopia that is *really* happening right in front of us. Time will tell.
